Fleet Driver – Heavy Construction Equipment (Full Time)
Job Summary:
The Fleet Driver is responsible for the safe operation of the haul truck and trailer in the transport of equipment and or materials to and from the jobsites within the state of Texas.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Safe operation of haul truck and trailer during transport from construction yard to the jobsites
Pre-trip and post-trip inspection of truck, trailer, and loads
Haul, operate, load, and unload a variety of heavy construction equipment to and from yards and jobsites.
Load, unload, and safely secure a variety of materials such as pipes, uneven loads, light poles, concrete boxes, spools, etc.
Ensure loads are clean and secure before transporting.
Ability to back up into narrow spaces to load equipment, bore machines and dozers.
Must abide by all DOT laws and regulations to protect equipment, materials, and the public.
Performs other related and non-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and abilities:
Hold and maintain a Valid Class A Texas Commercials Driver’s License
Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record Check with minimal infractions.
Willing and able to pass a physical examination.
Willing and able to pass drug and alcohol screenings.
Must be able to travel, work overtime, weekends, and nights as needed.
Must have manual operating experience.
CDL A Tanker Endorsement preferred.
Must be able to follow instructions and communicate with manager.
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 3-year experience and hold required CDL appropriate for weight of vehicle to be operated.
Physical Requirements:
Work is performed outdoors in all types of weather conditions
Work includes heavy lifting (typically up to 50-100 lbs.)
Exposure to noise, fumes, vibrations, and heights
Exposure to prolonged periods of bending, kneeling, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching, and crawling.
Ability to climb in and out of the cab of the truck and equipment.
Ability to climb on and off trailer to secure load.
Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change.
Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
